Welcome to Inman Square

Hidden gem with an eclectic mix of American cuisine and Asian fusion.

Inman Square is somewhat of a hidden gem straddled between Cambridge and Somerville. It can't be accessed by a subway—to get there you'll have to take one of the MBTA buses.

Still, it’s well worth the journey. Inman Square is an overlooked but incredibly hip spot with many unique restaurants that combine American cuisine with Asian fusion.

Ma Edelstein's S&S Restaurant is an absolute must, especially if you enjoy New York-style delis. S&S is considered to be an Inman Square institution. Don't be surprised to discover a long line; people love their famous Reuben—which is served on marble rye—and their scrumptious matzo ball soup.

First opened in 1919, S&S is still run by a member of the Edelstein family to this day. Their vast and varied menu is likely to offer something to sink your teeth into.

If you're a fan of a good old-fashioned Irish pub, then you'll need to visit The Druid, housed in one of the oldest buildings in Cambridge. Offering an excellent section of beer and delicious pub food, The Druid is a great spot to dig into shepherd's pie and sip on a frosty regional brew.

They also serve other pub staples, such as fish and chips and the traditional burger and fries. The Druid hosts many local musical acts, sponsoring Irish music on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons. Stop by on Sunday for Irish brunch!

Named after famed Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Corazón de Frieda is the best place in town for authentic Mexican food. Not only do they serve a variety of tacos from Tokyo tacos to carne asada, they also make their guacamole in-house.

Among their most popular menu items are their huevos rancheros and chicken mole. Their fire-roasted salsa makes a great dipping sauce.

To sate your sweet tooth, get ice cream or a sugary treat from Cristina’s Homemade Ice Cream. Featuring a wide array of bold and creative flavors, this award-winning ice cream shop is unlike any you've visited.

From Cinnamon Rice Pudding to Ginger Lime, you're guaranteed to find something new to love. Try their staple flavor Green Tea, which uses ceremony grade matcha tea with fresh milk to create a luxurious taste.

Cambridge also has city-wide events like PorchFestOpen Studios, and an annual dance party.
